Subcity Project Global Consult Limited has distributed tricycles, popularly known as Keke, to riders in Ilorin under a hire-purchase arrangement. The initiative, unveiled in an elaborate ceremony, gives beneficiaries the opportunity to own the tricycles through installment payments.
The event, which drew members of the Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria (TOAN) and other dignitaries in Kwara State, was described as a step towards empowering commercial riders and boosting the local transport sector.
Beneficiaries expressed optimism that the scheme will ease their struggles while offering them a pathway to eventual ownership.
